Our Policy

We have a $1000 Minimum Purchase.  This is not negotiable.   We do only specialized projects for our clients.

 

From Concept to Installation
We would like to work with you as your sign and graphics adviser and take your projects from concept to completion. As the owner of a successful sign and design studio with over 32 years of experience, we have used our talents to produce many projects covering both signage and the marketing of businesses and products for both indoor and outdoor applications.


This Ain’t Burger King Folks!
When you hire Cutting Edge Signs as your signage and marketing partner, we ask that you allow us to do what we do best – and that is to provide a project custom made especially for you.   Our philosophy is that we look at the project through the perspective of your customer’s eyes – not just  your own personal perspective.  A properly designed sign is more about the image and emotion that it conveys to your client, not so much as what it says to you.  Cluttered and wordy sign layouts are a product of a novice sign maker that not only waste your advertising dollar, but rarely does the public get the ‘vibe’ or comprehend the information and it reflects poorly on your image.

 

Too Many Cooks In The Kitchen
That is a potent phrase for not just the kitchen but also for design work!  Everyone has likes and dislikes but unless they are trained in graphic design,  biased personal opinions from friends and family have little or no place in making critical decisions concerning the marketing of your business.  Your main goal is to present your product/service to the entire public and not just a few friends and family.  The many years of training have taught us to go beyond personal opinions and base our ideas on the target groups that are your potential customers and make signs that work for you.


We Care About Your Needs
We really do.  If there is a way to get the design/sign that works best for you and we can save you money or time, we will do it.  Period.  We are happy to look at alternatives to fit a budget or make signs as multi-purpose as possible.  However, we will NEVER compromise our integrity, do a project unsafely or use shoddy craftsmanship and materials ‘just to get the job’.   If you are looking for a sign company that will just make the project fit the bottom line or make an unprofessionally designed sign,  please look elsewhere.

 

Ordering Our Services & Products

We have a $1000 Minimum Purchase.  This is not negotiable.

We do not do one-off yard signs, banners, decals, etc., unless they are a part of a larger, overall project.

We require a 50% Deposit upon ordering of products/services with the remainder due upon delivery.  Applications for credit can be made – please contact us.

Due to our hectic work schedule and time-consuming detail work, we require ALL VISITS to our studio to have an Appointment.  We do not accept "Walk-Ins.”

No Phone Requests for Pricing or Ordering for new clients unless complete Project Plans can be submitted.

We do not accept phone or internet orders from anyone except established clients.  ALL first-time purchasers MUST visit our shop to create an account.  We do not make estimates for our products or services over the phone or via email except to established clients.  If you are unable to make an appointment with us at our studio to discuss your project and select materials, you may request that we make a service trip to your location.

We have a service charge of $2.00 per mile to come to your location. Cancelled or missed appointments by you are considered billable time if we have made the trip. Rescheduling of an appointment must be made 24 hours in advance.

If you are too far away to visit us, we will try to suggest a reputable sign company in your area or you may check with your local Chamber of Commerce for a sign company/graphic artist in your area.

Our policy of conducting business is very simple, we set our standards high.  After 30 years in the sign business, Cutting Edge Signs strives to make every project a special and rewarding experience for our clients.

We do not start any project without the client understanding what is expected of them, and what you expect of us.  We don’t like surprises and we know you don’t either.   If there are any questions about the process – please ask immediately if we haven’t made everything totally clear.
 

Deposits & Terms
Artwork/Design/Sketches for Logos

We require a Minimum $200 DESIGN DEPOSIT to cover the production time and the preparation of all sketches or artwork for your project.  This is not negotiable.  Cutting Edge will help you establish a price range and work with you to plan a budget for your project BEFORE we start creating visual concepts for you to view.  We do NOT provide free concept sketches up front just to ‘see what it might look like.’  If you have doubts about our abilities, we invite you to come to our studio to see samples and look through our portfolios, or view the many photos on our website.

Once we have established a budgeted estimate and we have been hired to produce your project, we will then create rough sketches to propose a few concepts for your consideration.  From these roughs, you may choose one sketch that you would like us to refine and present with color options.  Only after this second draft and when the artwork is approved will we start production to finish the project.  You may NOT reproduce or disseminate these designs without permission.  The balance of the artwork/design fee must be paid in full before we release the finished artwork to you and provide you with a written receipt of ownership.

ALL artwork and concepts created by Cutting Edge Signs, is and shall remain the copyrighted property of Cutting Edge Signs By Chris Bromlow until full payment has been cleared and we re-assign the copyright over to you with an official Copyright Release Form. The artwork, once it has been released to you, is yours to reproduce as you like as much as you like and there are absolutely no restrictions to you as the NEW Copyright owner.

Changes, edits, and additions requested after the approval of the final artwork will be considered billable time ($100.00 per hour) and will increase the cost of your project. Be sure you have proof-read the layout, checked for spelling errors and are satisfied with the information in the layout/design.

Upon purchase of the artwork/design, you will receive one copy of your artwork or logo on a CD in (4) standard formats — EPS, AI, PDF and JPG for use in digital reproduction.

We take our design time and our artwork seriously.  Any unapproved use of any artwork or concepts used without permission will be prosecuted to the full extent of law.

 

Signage
Sign Design and physical product costs are separate from actual artwork/logo design mentioned above. We require a 50% deposit fee from ALL clients to cover partial expenses for materials involved in your project. You will receive an estimate of the total cost of the project before any work is done.  Signage or manufactured items that require artwork, design, sketches and/or research will have the design deposit included in the production deposit.  The artwork created for your sign project DOES NOT entitle you to use it in any other form without our permission.  Should you desire to use this artwork, layout or design as a logo or part of a logo, we will gladly work with you and for a reasonable fee, convert it into a logo and re-assign the copyrights to you.  It is strictly unlawful under State and Federal Copyright laws for the unauthorized use of intellectual property and we will protect our rights to the fullest of these laws.

Deposits are non-refundable once the project is started.  A partial refund may be in order under certain circumstances unless materials have already been acquired for the project.  Any specialty materials will not be credited once we have purchased them for you.
